IMPORTANT NOTICE: Although we maintain a presence on the web, the Bio/Tech News is still primarily a "paper and ink" newsletter which we mail to our subscribers. Although this may change in the future, we think it's probably accurate to say that many, if not most, of our subscribers prefer to actually hold the newsletter in their hands when they read as opposed to reading it on a monitor in electronic format.
When you subscribe or renew your subscription, we promise you twelve (12) issues of the newsletter. In this respect, we are very similar to most other newsletters in the industry. However, much unlike most others, we do not mail our newsletter on a pre-scheduled monthly date. We have made it our policy for the past 15 years to resist having deadlines drive the publication of the Bio/Tech News. In other words, sometimes and for various reasons, it takes longer than anticipated to finish work on a given issue. In many ways, we regard what we do with each issue to be almost as much a work of art as it is a piece of technical reporting. We work hard on the logical flow of ideas we present so that subjects which are sometimes extremely complicated can be easily understood by our readers, who may have little or no prior acquaintance with the topic with which we are dealing. We work and re-work the words, much like a sculptor, trying to insure that what we're saying is not only accurate, but that it is said in the best possible way. We read and re-read each issue and then set it aside for a number of days, even weeks, to reflect upon its content, the approach it takes, the specific points of emphasis which are made, etc. We can guarantee you that these things cannot be done well if you're up against a deadline.
So, rather than run helter-skelter to shove something together in order to make a mailing date, we choose instead to take our time and get our reporting job done well. When we've said just what we want to say; when we're happy with the issue we've created, then we mail. And, if that means it takes us 18 months instead of a year to get you all twelve of your promised issues, then so be it. What this allows us to do is to go the extra mile for you...to present you with full details on breakthroughs in BioScience and Technology that will change your life for the better, rather than give you merely a superficial overview like so many other newsletters tend to do.
We realize that this attitude on our part might seem a bit unusual, even strange. But hopefully you're sympathetic with us in our endeavor to provide you with thoroughly presented, well-written, inside information you can use and apply to your life. And, hopefully, the fact that you don't get it on the tenth of each month is something that won't be too bothersome to you. Rest assured: you will get your promised twelve issues with each subscription term!
For the record, we want to restate here the Notice/Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions of our service and to which our subscribers acknowledge their understanding and acceptance:
NOTICE/DISCLAIMER
The challenge for us here at BIO/TECH Publishing, Ltd. is that we know our BIO/TECH NEWS subscribers don't want to have to wait around on the "men in white coats" to verify what seems to be clear as crystal to a person with a bit of down-home, plain-folk, common sense. Our subscribers not only have plenty of common sense, but they are also savvy enough and sophisticated enough to recognize that much in this life is yet unanswered. Nevertheless, they want what we're able to come up with and report on despite the sometimes-obvious gaps in understanding; and, they want this information right now. They want to read about subjects now which might someday turn out to be "tomorrow's news"... perhaps months or even years down the road, and which most people may never even hear about, even then. So... our readers pay us for our considered opinion, speculation, guesses, intuition-you name it-based upon the homework we do as we research various breakthroughs in BioScience and Technology. We've been doing this kind of thing over the past fifteen years and thousands of subscribers have been more than satisfied to get what we can give them now, knowing that there is often a long lag-time before the explanations for various phenomena ever come around.
Since much of our reporting covers material which is "cutting edge", you need to know that if you are looking for all kinds of scientific documentation-the kind of thing you'd find in a stodgy, peer-reviewed scientific journal-then you're going to be disappointed. Oftentimes, there's just not a whole lot of this kind of "science" available. Sometimes, all we may have to go on is a little bit of theory, a bit of "common sense"... and a number of reported experiences. Often, we find ourselves having to "fly by the seat of our pants", sometimes speculating about why or how a product may work, but not knowing for sure. But, if we waited around for all the "science" to be done, then most of us would end up dying of old age before the obvious could be confirmed!
The BIO/TECH NEWS is unique. Our subscribers pay for and expect us to provide them with the most specific information and recommendations possible; and, this we strive to do. Nevertheless, although information published in the newsletter and/or provided on this website is received from sources deemed reliable, no guarantees, express or implied, can be made regarding the accuracy of same. Therefore, readers are encouraged to verify for themselves and/or to their own satisfaction the credibility of all reports, recommendations, conclusions, comments, speculations, opinions or anything else printed within the pages of this newsletter before making any kind of decisions based upon what they have read herein.
TERMS and CONDITIONS
I have subscribed to the BIO/TECH NEWS for information purposes only. I understand and accept the fact that the newsletter and information available to me via this website may contain not only opinion, but also a certain amount of speculation, conjecture and guesswork, which is precisely what I have paid for! In addition, and as part of that information I have paid you to provide, I expect to be given advice and specific recommendations for various products and/or services and the names of specific vendors and/or service-providers who, in your opinion, can help me improve my Life, my Health and my Financial Bottom Line. I also realize and accept the fact that you reserve the right to take your own advice and that you may have a financial interest, either directly or indirectly, in some or any of the products, services and/or companies you may recommend from time to time.
Although much of the material contained in the newsletter and on this website is based upon extensive scientific, technical and medical research, it is being provided for informational purposes only. Nothing in this newsletter is intended to be, nor should it be construed to be, any kind of recommendation of any product or service in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease, nor should it be construed to be any kind of attempt to practice medicine. Further, I understand that products and services mentioned in the newsletter or on this website have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
Regarding use of the term, "cure", we want to be absolutely clear about the fact that we are not comfortable with this term and are therefore reluctant to use it in our descriptions of nutritional substances, no matter how startling and amazing the results seem to be. Rather, if a nutritional product seems to be helpful to someone, instead of calling it a "cure" we think it is probably more often closer to the mark to suggest that the product may be providing the body with whatever specific "raw material" it needs in order for the body to effect its own God-given, innate, healing process.
Finally, I understand that it is the policy of the BIO/TECH NEWS and the parent company, BIO/TECH Publishing, Ltd. to always, always, always urge readers to consult with a fully-informed, competent health-care practitioner when it comes to matters which may affect one's personal health.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We will do our level best to provide you with information that is worth many, many times more than the money you pay to subscribe.
